"We had to check in late as our train was delayed. Unfortunately the guest house is not staffed after 11:30pm. So we had to pay extra for a late check in. The staff wasn’t friendly or welcoming. He was instead racist as he was asking where we were from and when we informed him he said no wonder. I wondered what that statement meant. The room was quite dusty. "Everything was clean. I loved my room. It’s not the most updated place in the world, but it had its own charm. It’s warm and inviting. The staff was great, and had good suggestions for tours. It’s kind of a pain not having anything nearby. No convenience stores or coffee shops. You have to take a train or Uber. I tried the connected restaurant twice and did not care for it. It’ll do though with nothing else around. Overall, it was a good value and I felt safe and comfortable"

"The Balmoral is a beautiful hotel! Its location is perfect since it’s close to all major attractions. The staff are accommodating and helpful. I’ve stayed in two different rooms and both were lovely and had great views. The restaurant is very good and the high tea in the Palm Court is superb!"
