"We loved our 5 night stay at Wharfside Village! The staff made it next level though (particularly Dawn and another guy but I dont remember his name sorry. He has a gf who works the beach bar though :)) Anyway, they were both fantastic. As we were on our way, I got personal texts from Dawn about our status and a step by step once we landed from getting a taxi, onto the ferry, and where to go when we arrived in St. John. It wasnt a generic auto text and was VERY helpful. I booked my gf and I this vacation as a surprise for her birthday and so I asked if the hotel would be able to have a bottle of wine waiting in our room as a suprise and add it to our bill. Not only did Dawn get a bottle of wine for us, she also set up a bottle of champagne on ice and then let us know that it was on them with no charge! The room also had a personalized note wishing my gf a happy birthday along with everything you need to know about the room. The rooms arent huge but more than enough space, modern and well kept. In the morning, I asked about snorkeling and kayaking and where the best spots were. Within an hour I was staring directly at a MASSIVE sea turtle less than 2 feet away! Our view was amazing as it's the only hotel directly on the beach. Location was IDEAL. In town near all the bars, restaurants, shops and just around the corner is where all the taxis pick ppl up so it was a breeze moving about the island. It felt private, but without sacrificing convenience. Amazing Visit Overall!!! Thx!"

"Great place to stay with the feel of “old St John”. Not France but very comfortable and clean. Staff friendly and accommodating and the food was very good in spite of dealing with several power outages."

"Pros: Perfect location to shops, restaurants and ferry. Good free breakfast, coffee, water, oatmeal, fruit, muffins and yogurt for breakfast. Nice breezy patios to sit and relax. The beach chairs offered were a great touch too. Cons: Went to lay down for bed and there was sand leftover from previous guests, yet they rushed over to change the sheets. The rooms are small, the shower is tiny but, its a comfy stay. "

"We enjoyed many happy hour sunsets from our private balcony watching ferries and sailboats as they came and went from the harbor, then walked the short 2 block walk to the wharf area for our choice of fine restaurants, bars, live music, cruz bay nightlife or shopping. Perfect location for our 5-night vacation."

"What a beautiful place to stay on St. John, a great location with outstanding views. The restaurant was wonderful, we had two outstanding dinners and enjoyed after dinner drinks at the bar each evening. Staff was outstanding, friendly and helpful! We are planning to return in 2027!"

"Power went out often on the island, a generator is needed at this property. Out flight was cancelled and we lost a day. I was told we would get credit for that but haven’t received confirmation of that yet. Location is okay, taxi service is a few blocks away, restaurants close. Not sure if I’d return or recommend at this time, still waiting on owner to honor his verbal agreement. But no matter what, a generator is desperately needed to protect a quality experience. "

"Very friendly hosts, Angelica and Ben, and exactly as described online. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. There was a self service laundry room and an honor bar if u need a water or a beer or sunscreen. Wi-Fi was great averaging about 60 mbps. The kitchenette worked great, even had an oven and microwave. There are free flippers and snorkeling gear and you can switch out your beach towels yourself. Walking to the market took about 20 minutes, and about 15 minutes to town the opposite direction. We would definitely stay here again. "
