Italy Lake District, we stayed in several 4 star rated hotels, but I really liked Hotel Gran Duca di York overall: the welcoming reception upon arrival, the very helpful staff, the great city central location within 10 mn of the famous Duomo, which was wonderful to retrieve to from the 90s temperatures in between my exploration walks. "It was a bit difficult to find the property, maybe a bit more detail ahead of time of how to find the property, would make it easier. Staff was friendly, which I appreciated. And the location was great. Not ideal for a light sleeper, because the sound of trains is almost nonstop, although they give you earplugs, but still, it's a lot of noise for a light sleeper. The only thing that was not comfortable for me specifically, was that the AC would not catch up to the selected set room temperature,...

"This is a beautiful property, very close ( 5 min walk) to Duomo Cathedral, The Galleria Vittorio for shopping, many bars and restaurants and close to the Metro with easy connections to main train station and Linate Airport. The staff were excellent and very helpful. It’s an elegant and comfortable place to stay and we would definitely recommend it and return to this lovely oasis"
