"The pool area is quite run down, from the raised jacuzzi area that resembles a Chinese takeaway counter to the moss/plant covered central skylight. We stayed in the “village” and you don’t have any climate control like AC etc, the heating came on late one night despite the outside temperature being 25+. Room felt like a tired pre-fabricated holiday chalet from the 1990’s, quite dirty too. The breakfast was good, staff were overall good. If you are wanting to crash with the lads after a game of golf it ticks the box. But it’s miles away from luxury."

"It was our first time staying at Mollie's Motel, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol, and we weren't disappointed. Our room was really spacious and clean, and huge, with a perfectly set out accessible shower room (the only thing that would improve it would be a shelf near the sink for toothbrushes and toothpaste etc). The room rate was excellent too. It was a bit different to other hotels not having a kettle in each room, but the (boiling) hot and cold drinking water taps on each floor were easy to use. The staff couldn't have been more kind and helpful, they explained everything fully, and took our reservations for evening meal and breakfast in Mollie's Diner a few yards away from the hotel. The Diner was clean and welcoming, and the food was excellent, and well priced. There is ample free parking, including Blue Badge spaces too. We highly recommend Mollie's Motel, and Diner, and will definietly book to say again when visiting Bristol."

"Booked very short notice late in the evening and was greeted by a friendly staff member, who I had spoken to on the phone and advised where their free car park was situated, bonus for Chepstow. Linen etc was nice and clean as was the lovely new looking bathrooms. I realise an older property, but feel in 2026, could definitely do we a makeover, remove those horrible carpets, and stop the creaking floor boards, change your mattress's. Rooms need to be sound proofed as could hear a very loud TV from next door from 5.30am, not great. Room view had a ledge of another part of the building, which had rubbish on it, pretty orrible. All the changes would still keep this as the lovely old Inn that it is, and I would stay again. "

"A good and cost-effective service station hotel. Ask for a room to the rear for more quiet! McDonald’s, Leon, Costa, TG Jones and a breakfast place(Chozen after 11am) mean there are plenty of good, quick eating options too. The room was clean and spacious, if a little dated in places, and served us just fine for an overnight stay for a night out in Newport."

"We needed 2 last-minute rooms and we hit the jackpot here! Super clean, well maintained, free parking, and best of all during this heatwave, wonderful air conditioning! Close to Tintern Abbey (25 minutes) and Cardiff (35 mins). Only thing lacking are washcloths (or "flannels" as they are referred to in the UK), but most hotels don't stock them we are finding. Highly recommend staying here over Cardiff."
