"The room was nice enough - standard layout and decor as you’d expect for a hotel du vin. Bathroom nice. Corridors looked a little tired but not too bad. Bar and lounge area were ok but nothing special. Terrace is fantastic- or at least the situation is. Served our purpose very well as a place to stay to go to a party nearby. Reception staff very helpful. "

"The room is good and of a reasonably high standard. There are however two major challenges. The room was on the top floor which from the car park is three flights of stairs. A lot when you’re carrying several large bags and clothes for a wedding. The second big issue is the hall lights on a sensitive room sensor. There is no way to switch this off or lights off. "Communication was excellent. Easy to access with information provided. Room was immaculate. Has everything you need and the bed was really comfortable. Would stay again as felt so relaxing."

"The room was mostly clean, just the edges of the carpets needed a bit extra but this seems to be quite common in hotels. We was surprised at how big it was. It's a bit dated but was perfect for one night. The bathroom was a good size. Again needs a little tidying up in places but overall was good. Shower was very powerful. Breakfast was great. All the usual choices, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages etc, then cheese, ham, fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast, bagels, mini doughnuts, tea, coffee, juices....

"Clean pleasant room that looked recently refurbished, with a kettle and microwave and a enough tea and coffee to survive a night and morning. A fridge and hairdryer was useful. Shower was good, stocked with shampoo and conditioner. Bathroom was clean. Otherwise it was basic but sufficient. It was very clean and the bed was comfortable. "Plenty of space in the familybroom in thenrop turret room. 4 proper beds, 2 together as.a double. Its an old building and hence an old hotel. Great location for clifton and cliften down, once the pub shut it was very quiet. The included breakfast includes any of the hot options. Only disappointment was only filter coffee rather than a bean to cup type machine for espresso based drinks"

"This place has been transformed from a house into a 10 room guest house but with virtually no health and safety measures in place or faulty/unusable ones. The rooms, themselves, are ok but small but, again, no PAT Testing done, no fire exits highlighted etc. The showers are filthy and poorly maintained (more water comes out of the hose than reaches the head). All in all avoid at all costs. Fire doors are wedged open and the only fire blanket is very high up."

"Hotel is close to Bristol city center and lots of local restaurant nearby just 10, 15 mins walk also not far from clifton 20-25 mins walk which is main part for me. No need to drive around unless you really want to. My room was on ground floor so could hear sound outside at night and in morning. Bathroom is very tiny and small. 1 person can bare fit. Staff were really helpful and nice. Room was clean and tidy however could smell as its located on ground floor. Limited parking available on rear...
