"This hotel claims to be 4 star. At best it is 2 star. Old rooms with poor facilities. Dreadfully slow service and poor food. And on this occasion, air conditioning that did not work - a minor detail that they did not tell me about when checking in. I am not sure you star ranks these hotels, but they need to have some training. Shocking."

"The hotel is fine for an overnight stay. The rooms are tired and need a refresh. There were lipstick marks on the walls I'm my room and the bathroom sink was very worn and scratched. The bathroom is also very cramped. For the price I expected more. Breakfast was lovely."

"Communication was excellent. Easy to access with information provided. Room was immaculate. Has everything you need and the bed was really comfortable. Would stay again as felt so relaxing."

"Lovely 2 night stay. Super Comfy bed which is a plus for those with a bad back or hip..slept so well. Spacious room even though we booked the smallest category. Wonderful rain shower. L'Occitane branded hand wash, shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Quiet air con so was able to keep on all night without it being noisy. Window opens ever so slightly so lovely breeze comes in. We were there when the weather was +30 degrees celcuis. Great views of the Gorge and Clifton Bridge from the bar /pub...

"The room is good and of a reasonably high standard. There are however two major challenges. The room was on the top floor which from the car park is three flights of stairs. A lot when you’re carrying several large bags and clothes for a wedding. The second big issue is the hall lights on a sensitive room sensor. There is no way to switch this off or lights off. "Lovely property in the middle of the city centre - and yet very calm and quiet. Room was excellent, with AC and space and nicely, easily decorated, ample power sockets placed in the correct place. . Breakfast is easy - buffet style and menu for hot items.. All very good - will stay again ."

"Ok clean and location was good . I stayed in a ground floor room facing the gravelled car park . The heat wave meant I needed to open the windows. Cars parked right outside my window was not great sadly. Very hot conditions. Couldn’t open curtains in the morning to get dressed due to lack of privacy . People leaving and arriving in the car park."

"The toilet in our room didn’t work and we had to change rooms the following day. The second room the air con didn’t work and the bathroom door handle was as if someone had tried to pull it off and the bathroom could do with some care."

"Modern design but fairly basic hotel. Harbourside location, good for sightseeing, shopping and evening entertainment. Walking distance to both the Hippodrome and Beacon theatres. Staff mostly foreign and not speaking or understanding basic requests. Rooms are basic, beds and pillows are not very comfortable. Bathroom shower was good, both hot and with good pressure. "The room was roomy and comfy, but there were some dusty spots on the surfaces in both the bedroom and bathroom. The cleaning staff could definitely use some more care . I was a little startled to find something curly and hairy on the bathroom counter when I checked in , but it turned out to be just an old eyelash. Additionally, the bath towels were old and stiff. On the positive side, breakfast was very good, with plenty of hot and cold, sweet and savory options to suit everyone’s preferences."
