"Lovely olde world pub-restaurant. Excellent food, both breakfasts and evening meals.This is a real heart of the community pub, with lots going on, including a Petanque match, when we were there. Check-in at the bar was easy. The service was very friendly and excellent throughout. A well stocked bar, including a local beer, 'Gem' by name and 'Gem' by nature. The en-suite double room was clean and comfortablebut you are better off relaxing in the bars downstairs, where there was two dining lounges...

"We didn’t use all the facilities, but everything you might need was available and it really felt like a home away from home. The location was perfect for the start of our walk, and the beds were very comfortable; exactly what we needed before the kilometres ahead."

"Fantastic location. Really nicely decorated and has everything you needed. Comfortable bed, lush shower. Host was great, really accommodating, had thought of everything. So easy to get to bars,restaurants, shopping, train station etc, would highly recommend to anyone. We booked the smallest room,and it was perfectly fine as a place to sleep and shower. Excellent stay."

"A lovely county pub in a nice setting. Clean, comfortable rooms with lots of little extras, fresh milk, free water and a little bottle of chocolate port. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pub itself served good food. Would highly recommend."

"A wonderful place to stay in the centre of Margate overlooking the town beach. Sound proof rooms so you can have a great nights sleep in your super comfy bed. The rooms have a record deck with a small selection of vinyl for you to play which was a quirky addition to the normal hotel room. Friendly staff and a beautiful restaurant which is also the breakdast room. Breakfast was cooked to your individual order with high quality products from a good selection. I hope to return soon for another...
