"I’m loathed to give a bad review, but we stayed during hot weather and the room was unbearable, at least 35C for the whole night. The top of the sash window was painted shut and the bottom only opened 2inches because of the safety latch. It’s a shame because the pub was nice, lovely old building, easy parking, the bar was good and the staff were great. The room was clean modernised and comfortable, the fan could have done with a clean to work better. We left at 5am to escape the heat so can’t...

"Stunning rural location. Very peaceful. Really clean room and hotel. Reception wasn’t open so had to go to the bar to check in. This wouldn’t have been a problem if there hadn’t have been a huge queue of people waiting to order food and drinks. One young member of staff, in a very busy bar/restaurant, having to deal with it all. That said, he was lovely and very helpful. It’s the only criticism. This is a great hotel. Fantastic views from the outside seating area. Would definitely return....

"Overall we had a pleasant stay. We stayed for 1 night as we were visiting Chatsworth house the next day, and the location was convenient. The check-in process was smooth, staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was pretty standard, spacious, comfy bed. On site parking was decent The only things I can say negatively was the shower wasn't great, the toilet had a really weak flush. The floor was very creeky, and there was quite a bit of noise coming from the room above in the morning."
