"Didn't use the spa"

"This hotel has seen better days… the location is great but the rooms need a serious upgrade. The carpets desperately need to be replaced. The mattress was so used and worn that it almost folded like a taco when laying on it. Super noisy from people walking upstairs and slamming doors, and a cleaner vacuuming in the morning banged on the wall of my room a few times. There were mysterious drips and stains on the walls. Everything just felt really gross and grim and I’m glad I was only here for...

Got moved into a different room for the remainder of the stay but the heating still didn’t work. That along with the lift not working from the first floor causing us to carry luggage up each day. The room itself was spacious, bright and housekeeping should be acknowledged for their great work in replenishing towels and coffee/tea supplies! If there was one puzzling surprise in the midst of this it was the poor mattress quality… a rather crucial item. Or was it just this room? Otherwise a good find."
