"An early phone call on the day told us that there was a problem with the toilet flush! But the host was very amenable in giving us the choice of having the house next door instead if we wished. On arrival we chose the original booked house as it had a walk in shower rather than bath and managed to make the faulty flush system work. The communication for key code details was supposed to be 24 hours prior to check in but was only given on the morning. This did not give a feeling of certainty but...

"Nice house, only a few mins from the Metro. Could do with a lick of paint in places but no complaints. Clean and comfortable. "

"Great Hotel with great amenities! Will always stay at Leonardo Royal!"

"Nice breakfast, friendly staff"

"Good location. Nice rooms. The second time we have stayed and both times there were long queues at the bar late at night. There were two staff working but both struggled to communicate and didn’t understand what people were trying to order hence the long queues."

"Great hotel - recently renovated, good location close to lots of bars and restaurants - high quality throughout, would definitely stay again"

"Rooms could have been a bit cleaner but for the price I'm not going to complain. Staff were friendly. Hotel was ideal place this be able to get around city. Can't comment on food cos we neither had any or saw anyone else having any, can say the latte was lovely though."

"Hotel looks beautiful on entrance, modern and welcoming. The rooms are clean and very spacious with comfortable beds but the showers need attention - no pressure at all - I couldn't get the shampoo out of my hair and the temperature kept going up and down often burning us. Conveniently located near to bars, restaurants and for visiting events at the arena. The parking is limited and expensive. Reception weren't overly friendly and we queued for some time to check in. Generally recommend for...

"Lovely room, lovely location would recommend. But i'm just not sure what it's like on a weekend , whether it's too noisy in the week was fine"

"Great location and great breakfast!"

"Great location for a great group gathering"

"Lovely spacious room. Very clean spacious bathroom. Great TV. Water in the fridge."

"Helpful and friendly staff. We were able to check in before the official time which was useful. Room was spacious, nice fluffy towels, breakfast was very busy but everything was topped up and tables were cleared immediately. Lift took ages so probably get a lower floor room next time so we could use the stairs instead. 10 mins from Birmingham New Street station."
