"Clean room, comfortable beds. Our only complaint was that we wanted to extend our stay by another night and the front desk could not do it without waiting for the reservation staff to arrive which wasn't to happen until 10am. Essentially we had to pack up, check out and be checked back in later. Needless to say we did not stay. "

"I had a very frustrating experience during check-in.​I had booked an Ocean View room. Upon arrival, the front desk staff told me that the room was not ready yet because they were still preparing it, and asked me to wait. I waited for about 30 minutes and checked again, but was told it was still not ready. After waiting for over an hour in total, I asked again, and only then was I informed that the room was actually undergoing maintenance.​This was clearly inconsistent with what I had been told...

"Loved our stay at the King's land! the pool area is awesome for kids all ages! we stayed in a 2bd room, which was perfect for our family of 5. very species, full kitchen, nice balcony. everything we needed!! The only reason for 4 stats is the food at the restaurant was meh.. very basic with not that many healthy options."

"You definitely need a car to explore all of big island! BUT if not, then that’s OKAY if you’re staying at this hotel! PRIME location. You’re right down the street from the shopping center/strip for food, abc store runs, souvenirs, the pier, and a calm beach perfect for kids! & nothing better than free breakfast and coming back from a hot day in the sun to AC! Highly recommend. I stayed a week - 2 adults, 3 kids. Uber available for other local tour/beach locations too. "

"The property grounds were beautiful and serene. We were so happy we chose this place outside the hustle and bustle of Hilo. The trip into Hilo was about 20 minutes, but the drive was beautiful and worth the peacefulness of the property. There were many sites to see within a few miles, such as Akaka falls and the Botanical Gardens."

"We loved this beautiful historic home, its convenient location, and the friendly staff. Our room has a partial ocean view and was beautifully laid out and decorated. The dining room was super dramatic looking right over the cliff. The only drawback is that the cliff is eroding and the home's foundations are within inches of the edge. If the owners don't move the home back from the cliff edge soon, it will be in Hilo bay! If the owners of this property read this review, please save your...

"Attractive exterior with plenty of parking. AC easy to use. Noise outside from constant drumming or bass beats a bit annoying. "

"Our room on the street side neededsound proofing! The shutters don’t keep out the road noise and it was very noisy early and late. Difficult to sleep. Otherwise it was clean and had a great view. "
