"Located in the center of Hilo 5-15 minutes away from everything, 45 minutes from Kilauea lookout. The building is older and the lower floors are private businesses but you basically only go to the elevator and the coffee shop. The unit was nice, recently renovated everything kitchen to bathroom. The downfall was the A/C in one of the rooms just broke down and a part needed to be ordered but other than that unit was clean, nice, and enjoyable. Useful kitchen appliances if you were thinking of...

"The view was amazing and the condo had a large lanai with comfortable furniture to enjoy it. Everything was clean, and well stocked, including the kitchen for cooking meals. The building itself is a bit dated, but the condo was comfortable and the bedding, towels, etc. all felt fairly new. There was no AC, but the fans helped keep the temperature comfortable. "

"Kitchen had all the tools and the grill had propane. All the literature was easy to understand and posted in plain view. The rooms were clean, bathrooms were clean - it was a beautiful home away from home. Parking was easy and the staff were so friendly."

"A nice, large apartment with a full sized stove/oven and frig (which can get noisy cycling at night). All the amenities of home (except a dishwasher). A large, covered lanai and easy parking. Plus an ecletic bookshelf. Convenient locatino to town and Kilauea. Quiet neighborhood. "

"Loved our stay at Kanaloa! Oh my that view is amazing! Enjoyed sitting on the lanai watching the people surf, kayak, paddle boarding, and birds singing. Very clean, spacious, well equipped unit. We would love to return to this place in the future. The family was so happy there! "

"Very comfortable. Kitchen was well stocked with plates, pots & pans. Even had beach chairs, beach umbrellas, beach towels, snorkel gear, boogie boards and a wagon to haul. Whole family (including 2 teens) loved. Would stay here again!"

"The Penthouse was very clean, well decorated, well supplied, and a great location. The landscape was beautiful and the outside was well maintained too! I would definitely stay here again. We did not find the on located pool until the last day of our stay though. Those details could have been a little more conveyed. But we had the ocean to enjoy. "
