"In all my travels, I have never had to go to a portal to get my check in information. The check in info needs to either be in the body of the email or made MUCH more clear that there is an additional step. Check in was painful for me BUT they responded quickly and even got us into the condo a bit early. After that, it was smooth sailing. "

"The front desk persons in the nigh shift are not very nice. When I asked the reason why my room wasn’t being cleared up for the all day and when it will be cleared up. The front desk person told me the housekeeper has their own schedule and he didn’t know when the housekeeper will go to clean the room. That’s terrible."

"My family and I stayed at Kona Royal Resort for a week, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained throughout our stay. One thing we especially appreciated was the air conditioning. There were a couple of very hot days on the island, and coming back to a cool, comfortable room made a huge difference. Having reliable AC was definitely a necessity and added greatly to our overall comfort. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help with any questions or requests. Their excellent customer service made us feel right at home. Another great perk was the location. There were plenty of excellent restaurants nearby for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, making it easy to enjoy a variety of delicious meals without having to travel far. The only thing missing was room service, but that was a minor inconvenience compared to all the positives. Overall, Kona Royal Resort provided a clean, comfortable, and relaxing home base for our family vacation. We had a fantastic stay and would absolutely recommend Kona Royal Resort to anyone visiting the Big Island. We would happily stay here again! 🌺☀️🏝️"

"We loved this hotels location right in the heart of Kona. The beach right by the pool was very nice and a short walk to many restaurants and shops. The beds were very comfortable and the balconies were a nice place to take in the fresh air. The rooms were nice relatively recent renovations. The kids enjoyed the pool and the beach. The restaurant breakfast buffet was nice as well. The staff was all friendly and helpful. Our favorite part of our stay is that we were lucky to be there during a Hawaii cultural festival the hotel hosts first weekend in June. Amazing experience and so much talent!"

"They take very good care of you at this little gem of a hotel a block from the ocean ! I stay about three times a year and would not stay anywhere else in Kailua Kona, Hawaii. Very reasonable parking prices, very clean and up to date rooms and always a great free breakfast to start your day ! That is a 40 buck savings from going to a local restaurant ! On top of all that they have local employees that are the reason they call Hawaii paradise ! Great folks who are always a joy to stop and chat with and they know all the great places to go and things to see ! Parking is on site and always adequate and all the best things to do and see in Kailua Kona are within walking distance. Many thanks to the employees of Holiday Inn in Kona for all of their hard work to make paradise paradise !!!!!! If you want a fantastic experience when visiting the Big Island forgo the glitz of Waikoloa and visit Kailua Kona and walk along the sea wall and feel the ocean spray on your face 😎😆!"
