"Nice clean room in a unique rainforest like setting. Hosts were lovely and provided coffee, tea, hot chocolate, ramen, oatmeal, fresh fruit and a delicious homemade banana bread! The location was very peaceful and we enjoyed listening to nature at night. We were also very close to Volcano National Park!"

"The room was amazing. I loved the sounds of the birds and frogs. The garden was beautiful and the property well maintained. Even though they say it’s an old house and you might hear people in other rooms, I did not. I never waited for a bathroom to use either. It was a quiet and peaceful stay just 5 minutes outside the park. It was nice having a full kitchen as well. "

"Staff did not like children and charged us $30 per kid. No place in the website to enter my kids into the guest list. My kids were well behaved and the surprise fees plus extra taxes really hurt our budgets "

"This place is unique, and the huge trees on the property are amazing. You can pick your own fruit and macadamia nuts even, and keep or eat them. The set up of the "common area" is a bit odd, with the main room being part of the hostesses house. The pictures of the beautiful kitchen that I saw in the listing was very misleading, as the kitchen is 100% hands off, guests are not allowed to touch it. Which was really weird and not welcoming, and odd that you can be right next to the hosts personal...

The hosts provided a detailed binder as well as daily breakfast in our fridge. Filtered water was provided, and the shower was heated through a tankless system. "This property is a lovely small cottage in Volcano. Suitable for individuals or couples it is small but features a full kitchen, has some breakfast items stocked by the owner, and was very comfortable. The owner was very gracious and it was great to meet him in his nearby artist store. Volcano is a small village only a couple miles from the national park so it was perfect for rapidly getting in and out of the park and is centrally located on the southern coast of Hawaii for day trips all over...
