"Nice and relaxing"

"Great position on the Lake with easy access into Luzern, CHF4 each way. The rooms are spacious and well equipped with standalone Aircon which proved useful during our visit. Be aware most room do not have an unrestricted view of the lake due to a property in front of the hotel. Breakfast is taken across the road at the old hotel, but is good. The restaurant is in the same location across the road and we had a reasonable meal there. There is also a good Brazilian restaurant nearby. Be aware...

"Nice Rigi view with a large room and large balcony. Cows and horses from the nearby farms provided a special experience for the stay. Good for those driving cars. For travellers not renting any cars, the location was quite far away from major Luzern tourist spots and thus inconvenient. Needed to transfer to local bus(es) if you were taking trains. For the room amenities, modern, pretty but impractical."

"Clean room, friendly staff, great breakfast! The views of the lake from the room were superb. Just a heads-up to anyone picky about AC, there is none. There was a fan in our room and with the windows open, the warmth was manageable."

"Nous avons réservé un cottage au Bürgenstock pour 9 200 CHF/3 nuits. À l’arrivée, nous avons découvert qu’il n’y avait pas de climatisation, alors qu’il faisait 35°C. Impossible d’y séjourner correctement. L’hôtel étant complet, on nous a proposé une chambre au Waldhotel, moins bien, avec vue montagne, mais avec un supplément de 3 720 CHF par nuit : totalement inacceptable. "For the price, it was horrible. The room was the smallest I have ever been in. No hair dryer (unless a deposit was left at the front desk), no refrigerator, and we had to pay for our bags to be stored because our room wasn't ready. Never staying at an Ibis again."

"No A/C and it was too warm. So many steps getting to the hotel. Given a view of the street - not what I booked. Front desk isn't staffed after about 11 pm. Fire dept pounded on our door down at 11:30pm because of the steam from our shower, cold water tap didn't work, and hot water was scalding hot. There was no audible alarm, and no peep hole on door to see who was pounding on the door. Thought it was a prowler trying to get us to open the door. Would not stay there."

"We had a nice stay at Château Gütsch. The highlight of the hotel is undoubtedly the spectacular view from the terrace, which overlooks Lucerne, the lake and the surrounding mountains.
