"We stayed here just as a stop over and it was a very small and low double bed in a huge room. It wasnt the cleanest so I was glad I had slippers with me. Shower ceiling was too low for a 6'2 person so my partner had to crouch. The main parts of the hotel looked nice on arrival, but we didnt make use of it. Nice and quiet despite the location."

"Welcoming hostess, good bed and quiet sleep, tasty breakfast, clean bedding and towels. But... I was shocked by the condition of the place. Vey old fashioned and too shabby and worn. Carpets especially bad. Shower room stank awful and shower painted over with white paint. Sink in bedroom painted too. Only a skylight. Not seen anything this bad before, but bearable for me. Fortunately on my own as wife would not have entered this place."

"Fantastic stopover on trip down south . Recently refurbished with great food and exceptional staff. Room was a tad small however this was balanced with cleanliness and really nice toiletries. "We have stayed here a few times in the past but not for about three years now. Sadly, we were very disappointed . The service used to be exceptional. I asked for a quiet room as we are very light sleepers - we were kept aware by the kitchen fan at the back of our room and the noise from the reception desk. We had lunch there and the prawn skewers were bland and tasteless. The breakfast buffet selection was poor, however the hot meals were very good. The service was dire, staff were stood around...
