"Good location, fairly large car park,for which you are charged £7 a night ,(which i don't agree with) the breakfast is good, and plenty of choice, the general feel of the hotel is a little tired, which is a shame. rooms ok but feel a bit neglected, but clean enough, would use again if staying in Lincoln"

Luke at the front desk gave a warm, genuine welcome without any 'corporate speak' that sometimes sounds like it's from a script. Room very clean with good amenities - has the feel of a company that knows how to please and takes trouble to maintain a high standard. "Expedia should be ashamed to charge for accommodation in what was a hostel for vagrants. During the period that access was unavailable to us, a neighbour told us that the Hamilton was used to house council-sent people, and we saw three such unfortunate people waiting to enter. My wife was frightened by the property when access was eventually gained, describing it as being like her idea of a prison, and I found it forbidding and inhospitable. "We really enjoyed staying at The Duke Williams. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, the included breakfast was delightful (really loved the blueberry pancakes!), and we loved how close it was to the Cathedral and castle. We also appreciated the sound-proofing of the room and the natural light through the windows. The only thing that was tough for us was the mattress. "The check-in time was 3.30pm but I was allowed to have the room from 1pm, which prevented me having to carry my bag around for a couple of hours. Lovely room. I had a great time."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Rest. The bed was so comfortable, There was everything provided for your comfort. Good quality products. Nice table and chairs on the balcony. Drinks were brought up to us from the cafe/bar. Nothing was too much trouble. Parking is a little walk away but that's the small price for staying so central. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be staying here again when in Lincoln"

"Very close to the Lincoln Cathedral. It is a hike up the hill but lots to see along the way. Enjoyed dinner in the restaurant. Good food and very good service."
