"My partner and I booked a suite at the Novotel for 2 days as we were visiting Sheffield to watch the World Snooker Semi Finals. "Check in was very efficient and the staff were very friendly. Our room was clean and well equipped. The fan in the bathroom did not work so the mirrors were very steamed up. Breakfast was pleasant and good choice available. Check out staff lovely. One night stay for a theatre visit and this was in easy walking distance. Car parking for the hotel was very good and extremely reasonable for 24hours. "

"Breakfast the first day was better - excellent bacon. Staff were really friendly. Evening meal was reasonable but problem with the card machine suggested my card was declined when my online bank showed the payment went through when I added my pin. I was able to show this and the staff were apologetic. However an hour later I had a phone call asking me to return to pay and I had to repeat the story. I was not required to show evidence, which I could and the staff were helpful."
