"Dumbleton Hall has undergone a huge multi-million pound refurbishment, and it shows. The finish combines beautiful finishes, sumptuous fabrics and age-worn character features which have been tastefully restored. The staff were all extremely polite and attentive, with the exception of one evening when we were left waiting to order drinks. "We have stayed here 4 times for overnight stops. Everything is lovely and clean, staff, for the most part are pleasant and professional - I say for the most part - on our latest visit, we ordered a wine spritzer and specified soda, not lemonade and a half pint of pepsi. We got a spritzer with lemonade and a full pint of pepsi but it was soon sorted. We have had 4 different rooms out of the 5 that there are, and only one of them was what I would class as too small even for a standard...

Overall quality of service and food did not match the price level which was expensive for what was provided. In particular the additional charge for certain breakfast items, even though on a bed & breakfast rate was excessive. "Convenient location in the Cotswolds and able to take a group of five friends in two rooms. Character-filled old and quirky inn. It was a heat wave while we were there but the rooms were quite comfortable with cross breezes and electric fans. The restaurant was hot though, so we opted for the pub in Barrington beside the river instead. Everything was clean and the staff were lovely. It’s a bit noisy beside the road, but not too bad. We were able to trickle charge our car overnight as well."

"The weather was exceptionally hot during our stay, the staff had closed the curtains on our room and had a fan running to try to keep the bedroom cool. All of the staff, without exception, were helpful, professional and friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed the spa facilities.
