"I love this place, it's a gem! The staff are all incredibly helpful, friendly and kind. I was suppose to stay 3 nights but got caught-up in the London Heathrow meltdown and my connection to Glasgow was cancelled. I took a train to Motherwell the next day. I called to explain and they were very accommodating of me missing my first night. Today I stated the West Highland Way trek. The Motherwell train station is a 1 hour train ride from Milgavnie (a starting point for the West Highland Way)....

"There was good parking and the structure of the building was sound. It could’ve been cute but needed severe updated (simply painting the walls.?) It would’ve been nice to know before booking there was no lift and the reception was in a separate building. The bed was comfortable. There was mold in the bathroom."

"The hotel is ready for a cosmetic overhaul and consequently looks a little tired’’
That said the food was very good but service from all members of staff was fantastc. They were all extremely polite considerate and extremely friendly "

"Just what we needed for a weekend. Clean comfortable room. No sittng / lounge area as it is a pub! A bit noisy Saturday night, but we had been warned and ear plugs were provided. If you are happy with basic rather than luxurious this is a good place to stay.Friendly helpful staff, and we enjoyed the Sunday quiz!.
A good breakfast too."
