I like the fact it was an old coaching Inn … on booking I was not advised or asked if a room up a lot of steep stairs at the very top of the building would work for me…. I am 75 and it was hard work! "Charming pub with rooms in the courtyard. Each one had parking outside. Very spacious room with comfortable bed, smart tv and tea & coffee making facilities. Good size en suite with great shower. Towels provided along with a hairdryer, iron and ironing board. Breakfast was made to order along with continental options. Staff friendly and attentive. "Due to excessive external temperatures during my stay staff had left the windows open which was understandable in the circumstances. Unfortunately my room (215) overlooked the High Street below. From 0400 hrs the noise from heavy agricultural traffic was constant. I accept it was my choice to continue to get a circulation of air into the room however it was at the cost of being awake very early in the day. Next time would book a room facing the rear of the property. Impressive hotel 8/10"

"Another fantastic stay at Escapade Silverstone. The location is unbeatable for race weekends, and the accommodation is always comfortable, clean and well maintained. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, with every member of staff being friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our group had multiple rooms booked, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay. "The room was spacious, and provides was a complimentary breakfast and beverages to drink. The ensuite is a nice large size. Car parking can be a bit of a squeeze if there are guests with cars staying in all of the flats. There was good friendly communication with the owner most of the time. The WiFi was working, but for some reason not the smart TV. Maybe a previous guest messed it up. The house is on a good bus route, with a stop across the road and regular buses into Derby city...
