"Parking can be difficult and CCTV in operation. Staff could have been better, kept being locked out of our room. Unfortunately 1 breakfast was poor no eggs and mushrooms not cooked. Not sure if we shall return "

"There was an issue with our booking which we felt wasn't handled well by the staff in reception, but waiting staff in restaurant were much more accommodating. We have stayed at Voco before, but this stay wasn't quite as good as our last. Breakfast was understaffed and took over half an hour to bring 2 poached eggs on toast, minus the toast. Poached eggs were hard. We did receive it for free when complained. Everything comfortable and in good working order in room."

"Fantastic hotel on the outskirts of the city centre. You’re able to take a nice walk into town. We passed the train station on the way into the city centre so easily walkable from there. It’s close to the curve theatre and the parking is included. The breakfast was very good. The staff here were lovely and made this a place I would return to stay at."

The telephone in the room was not working and inspite of bringing to the attention of the front desk people , it never got fixed during our one night stay"

"The space was great, in a brilliant location. The check in receptionist was so friendly and helpful. I would have given it 5 stars if the shower head was not broken, but we did manage to shower with difficulty. We reported it when checking out but felt we should have received some form of compensation. We understand these things happen so don't be put off, highly recommended!"

"On arrival, we were shown to the "penthouse", a twin room on the third floor. The large bedroom light worked, but none of the smaller, bedside lights worked, so not great at night - totally or all nothing. Floor-space in the room was significantly compromised by a dismantled wooden bed-frame cluttering up the room. The toilet adjacent to our room was ok but we were told that the shower room was not usable so we had to use one on the lower floor (which was for several other rooms). My partner...

"For the price we paid the hotel was absolutely fine. Lovely leisure facilities, nice biscuits with the tea and coffee tray. Lift’s available. Bar and restaurant and food were good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Sadly it’s all a bit tired. Cracks in plaster around the building, dark decor just in need of TLC but as I said before, this was reflected in a very good price. I would definitely book here again."

"Clean room although too small for a queen bed and a made up sofa bed - which I didn’t need. Plenty of parking space. Good choice of food for breakfast. Complimentary water. Nice air con and a fabulous shower"
