"Lovely clean room but no breakfast facilities. I'm not sure if this is temporary or permanent. Staff were polite and helpful, parking was plentiful and safe."

"Got to the property late (as pre arranged) and managed to locate the reception person after finding the emergency number. Room was clean but a little tired looking apart from a new thick carpet. Facilities generally good but no plug sockets next to the bedside tables. I am a CPAP user so had to have the power lead running from the desk area on one side of the room to the bedside table on the other side creating a trip hazard across the floor."

"Very comfortable bed, clean room We stayed for 2 nights. At check-in, we did not notice the sign in reception that you need to ask for a room refresh (before noon) We needed clean cups, glasses, tbags, but we asked in the pub on the second day and all were provided. The only downside is there isn’t really anywhere in the bathroom to dry towel on a two night stay, so maybe best to ask for refresh Excellent value for money"

"Although the reception, library room and breakfast area were fine this hotel is in need of renovation. We stayed two nights and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Especially Julia on the front desk. Our beds were large and comfortable but the room was dated with taps not working and the toilet hard to flush. Breakfast was adequate. We didn’t use the bar but it looked like a Wetherspoons. The hotel is set in nice countryside with quick access to the main road. It could be much better...

"This place is a little gem. A great deal of thought has gone into the rooms, everything you need for a comfortable stay. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. Very welcoming staff who clearly want the guests to have an enjoyable stay. Both dinner and breakfast were excellent, with plenty of choice. Would definitely stay again."

"Only stayed one night so didn’t use all the spa facilities which looked nice. Our room was a very long walk from the reception, this was difficult to manage with my son who is autistic and has disabilities. If I stayed again I would specify that we needed to be nearer reception. Room was ok, but small fridge in room was very noisy and had to turn it off (it was unplugged when we entered room) and the air con unit in the corner of room also made a lot of noise as the evening went on and my son...

"Room was clean but very dated with many signs of wear - rust on the shower and towel heater, mould around the silicon on the sink . Old fashioned alarm clock which was so bright and unable to turn off was annonying and had to be covered with a towel. The shared areas and outside also feel dated and showed main signs of wear. Staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was Ok."

"What a fantastic hotel. Location was great, right in the middle of it all. Room was great with loads of room. The room Needs coat hangers and some draws for clothes as we had to live out of our bags. Up date the blinds, apart from this we would stay again. Breakfast room was great as well, just get cups that fit in the coffee machine. The staff assisted us straight away when asked. All done through WhatsApp. WiFi was brilliant"
