Chena Hot Springs Resort offers a large variety of activities year-round. One of those is snow shoeing, both a fantastic and frusterating experience lol you can rent a pair at their activity center for $7.50/hr or a flat $25 a day. There are several trails around the resort ranging from an easy walk to a strenuous climb. This one was the mountain ridge trail, a 3 mile easy walk around the resort that held some pretty fantastic views, especially at sunset. Once you master the art of moving in a snow shie, its a surprisingly enjoyable way to spend the afternoon! :)

Everybody I've spoken to and anything I read about Fairbanks said that the museum was a major highlight...I personally found it quite small and disengaging, although I think if you watch one of the movies

Our stay at La Quinta was great! The staff was always friendly, the breakfast was decent and they have their own little gift shop. My only complaint was the smell of rotten eggs in the room at check in and that the gift shop ran out of water after our first day.
