"We love this place and the location. Highly recommend for a quiet re-charging yourself."

"Absolutely wonderful stay for a short stay. The only fault were the pillows…felt like sleeping on a cement bag but that’s a personal preference ."

"Excellent facilities. Very spacious. Very helpful and personable owners."

"We loved staying at Albert Cottage. It is a unique property with beautiful historical furnishings and design. The breakfasts are wonderful. There is a lovely sitting room where we played cards. It has a nice restaurant. It is an easy walk to the fantastic Osborne House. There were a couple of small plumbing issues due to the age of the building but they were taken care of and not significant. We stayed in many places during our trip to the UK and loved this one in particular."

"Oddly enough my favourite thing about this hotel was the carpet in my room which was very thick and a delight to walk on. However there are many other plus points about this hotel. "Delicious breakfast and fantastic location seconds from the beach"

"Hotel was ok. Lost a star though as no tea or coffee and room was basic. Breakfast was served in the pub on site. Food was really good. Staff were courteous and polite."

"The room and bathroom was updated. Major issue is the soap dispenser on the wall of the tub, it does not work because of the pump. Had to use the soap pump on hand washing sink. Window glass could use some cleaning and the cobwebs on the top left corner needed to be removed. Staffs are very nice. I had some issues trying to turn off the TV. Paid Breakfast available."

"Extremely close to the Historic Dockyard. Good breakfast and the bar and service was very nice."

"This was the second time I’ve stayed at Florence Gardens, and it’s proved to be as exceptional as I found it on my first visit. The rooms are extremely comfortable and warm, the staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly, and I won’t hesitate to stay there again on my next visit to Portsmouth."
