"The room was clean and comfortable enough. The location is good, and it's a pretty cool old building. As with all Greene King pubs and hotels, the wifi isn't really free since you have to fill out a form divulging a bunch of personal information to use it, which I declined to do. "

"Lovely hotel. Clean room. Exceptionally warm welcome from Micheal. Being shown to the room is a lovely touch, rather than being pointed in the direction of your room. We didn't have breakfast, but will next time. Car parking excellent. We will definitely return to this hotel and hopefully enjoy the amenities, as this visit we were just staying for one night and didn't have time enjoy the splendour of the hotel."

"The bar staff need some serious training, terrible service on Saturday evening , staff looked like university students clueless and zero customer service The room was ok, lots of fluff and dust under the bed, no I didn't deliberately check, I dropped something and saw it, the shower cubicle needs a good scrub too! And no fridge in the room!"

"A hidden gem in a fantastic location. It doesn't look much from the outside, but this is a great hotel, a 2 minute walk from Gun Wharf and the Historic Dockyard. Friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend"

"The location is great the bathroom to our room was up some stairs from the bedroom the door opened out towards the stairs covering the handrail so could be a problem for some coming down the stairs from the bathroom. The bedroom was also up flights of stairs The mattress needs to go in the bin now! "It's a very old building with only stairs but staff was more than pleasant adverse helpful. They bought our luggage up to our room and then even brought it back down I highly recommend this place."
