SpringHill Suites by Marriott Richmond North/Glen Allen
4/10 Poor
"Staff was great...the room had issues. Toilet seat broken, shower doors do not stay closed when showering, microwave operation was difficult might need directions, shower handle to operate water came off and weird noise after using sink/toilet kept us up."
"Really nice hotel for the price which includes breakfast and parking. Really close too everything despite being in Glen Allen. Great staff and accommodations. "

"Suggestion — install black out curtains, fix the landline phones and the picture frame on the wall had no pictures in it.
Otherwise, great affordable hotel with nice amenities— books and DVDs. "
"I booked a room on a Wednesday last minute and I'm very glad I did. When I arrived that evening, the front desk employee (Kevin?) made me feel incredibly welcome. I was exhausted and stressed and he put me at ease. This guy is the gold standard!
The room is small but clean and really well laid out. Very comfortable bed! I always bring my own pillow, so I didn't try any of them. I appreciated the toiletry amenities - nice hand soap, body wash, and lotion! There isn't a coffee maker, but the coffee in the lobby is GREAT - ground on the spot. Breakfast was awesome - I really enjoyed the scrambled eggs and potatoes.
I'm a very light sleeper, so I was happy to see "sound proofing" in the description. While the walls aren't entirely soundproof, it really was pretty quiet! The windows though are not soundproof. My room faced a very busy intersection with lots of tractor trailers. If you're a light sleeper, I recommend asking for the other side of the hotel.
One thing it seems you can't avoid - there is a bright-white LED nightlight wired to an outlet. It is annoyingly bright, shines right in your face when you're laying in the bed (because the room is small), and I didn't see a way to turn it off. I forgot my eye shade and had to put something over it to block the light. I'm sure lots of other people do as well - over an outlet. I've never seen that in a hotel before and if it can be changed, it should be."
