"Helpful and flexible with uncertainty over bookings, and the accommodation was at least satisfactory in general... but there was drastically inadequate parking for a full hostel, and we were not given all the necessary info about how to gain access to the buildings ! ( a helpful resident who happened to be up late saved us from standing outside in the cold and dark. Make sure the person on the desk not only gives over the FULL keypad entry number...but also HOW to access the key pad in order...

"I and the wife spend a weekend away for out anniversary to walk around some of lovely Yorkshire. The staff at the Gamekeepers are incredible proud of their establishment, they were always kind courteous and helpful. Special compliments for Dan, he was always helpful communitive and friendly. "We were comfortable in our room but we found it unusual that the cleaning staff weren’t cleaning rooms until very late in the day. So the first day we said just leave our room for today but we do require a few things (TP and coffee). Other than that our room was never refreshed at all. The front of the property had two lovely patio sets however staff had overlooked cleaning them, so we gave them a quick brush off so we could use them. "Wonderful overnight stay with our springer spaniel . Lovely clean and spacious dog friendly room in the Annex with a fabulous view . Set in wonderful grounds with lovely outdoor areas and enjoyed a great circular walk down to the river. All staff were so friendly and the steak for the evening meal was cooked perfectly as was the very generous breakfast . Definitely be back"

"The room was tidy and clean, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful when we arrived early and placed our case in the room when if was ready. My wife really enjoyed the spa which is located a short walk across the road from the hotel. We would have preferred an self service open buffet style continental breakfast"
