Room was very hot window only opened six inches not much air coming in.fan provided was useless.. didn’t get much sleep as we were hot sticky and itratible..not going back.this was not in the heatwave.. the following weekend .."

However, due to the layout and lack of lifts it meant a really long walk from our room to the main reception area. "Nice clean room, staff pleasant. Very good price and perfect location for us. Only downside was the noise insulation could be better. Couldn’t hear anything from the bar but the room above were constantly moving for hours and next doors snoring could clearly be heard. However would stay again "

"Had to click on something to get to this part of the review. Never actually stayed at the hotel, but spoke to a lady called Catherine who was brilliant! We had to cancel due to family commitments, but good old Expedia wouldn’t refund as they said I was too late to do as, but I took out the cancellation cover with them which said I could cancel up to the 3/5, but they thought different. I will never use Expedia again. You need to speak to people not robots!!"

"Fantastic service and very helpful staff but if you want a good night's sleep make sure your room is away from the front of the hotel. Smokers and other guests meet outside from early morning and are not quiet."

Rooms are clean and comfortable, the bar and restaurants offer a good range of food and drink and the wife particularly enjoys taking a dip in the indoor pool. Staff are friendly and efficient. "The Genting was always a favourite stopover when traveling through England as it breaks up the trip from London to Yorkshire. The hotel is still quite nice compared to others in the area but doesn’t seem to have been maintained to the high standards it once was.
