"We were situated in the older tower, but had a great view of bay. It was more difficult to find and navigate to hotel restaurant due to lack of any signage, and that our more obvious route was outside. Hilo is, after all, the rainiest city on the planet. "We only stayed one night because it was close to the airport. Totally not worth it. I felt trapped in this complex with actually very little to do. There are multiple hotels, you leave your car for a mere $50 on the parking lot, then take a train to your hotel. The adult only pool had the charm of a motel 6 pool, the room was big but uninspired, the actual hotel had nothing but a reception. The restaurant we ended up going to in one of the other hotels in the complex was alright but nothing...

We found a used Band-Aid stuck to one of the bath towels, and the bathtub was also dirty. After checking in, I even developed a rash on my arm. "Our 1st evening, we had some problems with getting food. The poolside restaurant had to close early and the bar restaurant ran out of pizza. I’m sure it was an unusual problem, but we didn’t have dinner that night coming in from a long travel day from Texas. All other meals were great, especially breakfast buffet which was outstanding."
