A family run hotel in a lovely, safe and convenient area, and you can tell that everyone working there cares about making it a great place for visitors to stay. "Avani Museum Quarter Hotel is located in the Museumplein area of Amsterdam. The major museums including Von Gogh Museum, Rijkmuseum, Moco Museum and Stedelijk Museum are within walking distance from this hotel. Tram stops for no 2 and 24 trams to get to Amsterdam Central Train Station are also very close to the hotel. De Pijp metro station is also within walking distance. The hotel's location is in quiet area and is right across the street from a canal. The hotel is clean and well maintained....

"This hotel was a real find. Quiet with a homely feel. Perfect location in the museum quarter. The drinks and breakfast were a fabulous provision too. The room was cosy with the bathroom being a little unique with the small bath and over bath shower, but still added to the charm."

"Great location between the center of town and the some of the more neighborhood restaurants and shopping areas. The staff are extremely helpful. We very much enjoyed the "all inclusive" nature of the hotel meaning that all of the drinks in the room and bar are included as well as nightly cheese and crackers. The room is a bit pricey but I found that this is consistent with most of the other nice hotels in Amsterdam. I would definitly stay here next time visiting Amsterdam."

"This was, I think, my fifth time staying at Hotel 717, and every visit feels special. I have stayed in a different room each time, and this time I was on the main floor, which I loved because we were so close to the wonderful people who look after us, especially Giorgio and Patrick :) This stay, my daughter Lauren and I travelled from Canada to Amsterdam to meet our dear friends, another mother and daughter who flew in from Vienna. "The room was excellent and the staff was super nice! The location was great my friend and I were able to travel throughout the city super easily it was a great central location. We had an amazing time in Amsterdam and the staff was super helpful with guidance. My one complaint was that our main light in our room wouldn't shut off at night if we wanted to keep the power on to charge our phones. Everything else was great and the cleaning staff kept everything super clean and tidy."

"Beautiful location, felt like a local. Room was big with a large comfy bed. Had everything we needed and was cleaned and restocked daily. There was a portable aircon (which i know aircons aren't guarenteed in older buildings) it was super loud and needed the window open to run. Blinds also let in lots of light. Great stay though"
