"A superb night away from home in a beautiful area. The Pheasant is immaculately maintained. The rooms are stylish and scrupulously clean. The restaurants, again, are beautifully decorated and the food is perfect. Staff are all friendly, polite and generally lovely. I can’t recommend this place too highly."

"We visit every Christmas and the condition of the hotel gets better and better each visit. So good to see a property being invested in and maintained. The rooms, staff, food and bar are really excellent. Only very minor gripe - some smoked salmon at breakfast would be nice."

The staff are warm and friendly - all on duty over our stay need to be commended for their commitment to ensure guests feel looked after! "Quiet room (separate to pub) with comfortable beds. We dont like full, hot breakfasts so it was nice not to have to pay for it. The cereal/fruit /toast/ pastries were ideal for us. The food in the pub was nice, probably not worth the price but that's fine as a one-off. The pub was attractive and cosy. All staff were lovely and very helpful.
