"Great location on the bay. Walking distance to restaurants, and Liliʻuokalani Park. Directly on Hilo Bay. They also have laundry facilities which is a plus. The building is old but clean and comfortable. There’s no wifi in the room and no air conditioning, but that’s okay with us as there’s ceiling fan and also big fans inside the room. The view from our room makes up from the lack if AC and Wifi."

"Only thing I liked was AC in the room and the view. You pay so much money for a decent room and doesn't offer breakfast is crazy. 1 elevator working for over 10 story floors not the business. The worst part they charge you for a parking fee a night 45 dollars for valet parking. 15 to park it yourself outrageous. And we have to walk back and fourth in the rain from the parking lot. Housekeeping very stingy with the towels and toilet paper."

"Room had stains on the floor, not well cleaned, had false lash extensions on the bathroom counter. Asked for pillows, bath soap ,which was completely empty and towels that never came. Check in had a long wait as only 1 front staff was working at 8pm and managing multiple tasks. Only 1 elevator was working so the stairs was a quicker option. Easy and plenty parking."

"Mango and Sunset sits on an active coffee farm and the property is stunning. We are already looking forward to our next stay. Kriss and Gene are warm and lovely hosts. As someone who has allergies one of the reasons I booked our accommodations at this unforgettable bread and breakfast was the hypoallergenic bedding and hardwood floors. The breakfast menu is thougtfully planned and scrumptious! Bonus: beautiful roosters and chickens as well as cute, friendly kitties who roam the property!"

"We liked the room and liked the location - just steps to the Farmer's Market. This is more of a note to Expedia than to the Hilo Downtown Inn. This is the second place we have rented through Expedia that didn't tell us we'd need to negotiate stairs. My wife has trouble navigating stairs. I think the property and Expedia have an ethical and perhaps legal obligation to inform potential renters about the stairs."

Fehlende Erfahrung mit internationalen Gästen hinsichtlich der Checkin Anweisungen. Zudem hätte die Unterkunft gepflegter und sauberer sein können. Bsp. Bettlaken mit leichten Flecken und ungepflegter Holzboden am WC (war echt nicht schön)
