"Nice hotel in convenient location for local villages and A55. Bar and restaurant area have been refurbished to a high standard, with good food and drink offer. Staff very welcoming and professional. Rooms are in the process of being updated, ours (no 8) was clean with a lovely view. Fridge in room, also which was helpful. Plenty of off road parking. I'd recommend for a short stay. "

"Husband and I have just stayed here for a week with our big puppy and can honestly say the place is so beautiful, Jo and her husband have done a fantastic job with the pod and making it so homely inside. The pod had everything available from bed linen, towels, tea towels, cooking equipment, utensils, toaster, microwave , iron, ironing board, hair dryer, books, log burning fire and more. Also for added security there is a fire blanket, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, smoke alarms and security...

"I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. I booked it for its reasonable price but it far exceeded expectations. We were visiting family in chester over Christmas, and there were no hotels available in the city centre, although this was a little far out the drive was very easy and quick parking was good and the hotel was clean and friendly. I would definitely stay again and recommend it to others."

"Parking was easy. Comfortable walk to hooton train station. Staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Food is excellent especially Cajun wedges. Rooms are basic but ask the staff for fridge, hairdryer etc and they’ll provide. Place was quiet. They had a large function with over 100 people Saturday night and no impact to us. "Half the breakfast menu costs extra, the porridge was like tepid mortar, the continental had sliced white and brown bread only, no bread buns, room 207 was baking hot with no way to cool it, the old leaded windows are characterful but completely warped and can't be closed, half the payment terminals didn't work, and the staff were friendly but inefficient."

"Gavin and Christopher have put a lot of thought into giving you an enjoyable stay at the Manorhaus Ruthin. The rooms are decorated reflecting welsh designs. The dining room has beautiful sculptures. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfasts were delicious with a lot of choice. The coffee was excellent. Overall we had a great week end stay. The Manorhaus is only minutes walking into the centre where there are several excellent eateries/restaurants"

"Room was tidy but a bit worn in places, shower wasn’t very warm, property itself was a bit run down, and there was a strong smell of cigarettes on entry and through out the hotel, room was fresh though But the staff were lovely, breakfast was brilliant, out the way off the main road and quiet at night bed was very comfy! Stayed for a wedding reception, the event room was really nicely decorated and spacious! Bar a bit pricey though £5 pint of coke! "

"Valentines evening with overnight stay. Check in easy, mostly done online prior to arrival. Room was good size and very clean, hotel situated along side of busy A55, but road noise in room was minimal. Had small lunch and then dinner in the evening, the service from Heather was excellent, full of smiles and attentive, even though it was busy with the amount of staff they had on serving. "This hotel was perfect for our overnight stay. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to help. Our room was clean and comfortable. The only downside was the bathroom which although clean needed a refurb as there was mould all over the ceiling, a crack in the sink, etc. "
