"Run down property not as advertised."

"The Old Post office was a large guesthouse very close to the Kirkjufell waterfall and mountai. The mountain was well seen from the guesthouse. The rooms were quite large, with private bathrooms and the beds were comfortable. The kitchen was a bit small but ok for a simple meal. The whole place was very clean. We liked staying there."

"We felt like breakfast was overpriced for what we got, but we enjoyed our stay. The room was very small, but clean and cute and close to the ocean. We would stay here again."

"Clean and quiet B & B. Comfortable stay and comfy beds. Owners and staff were very nice and friendly. Good cold breakfast and walkable to restaurants and bar."

"I loved this property. We stayed in September so puffins had left by the time we got there. It is a bit remote but the staff were all great and the food was delicious. Thus place just has really awesome vibes. Would highly recommend."

"Beautiful view at this guesthouse. Easy access to a number of south coast attractions. The ice cream is delicious too."

"This is a newer (and cheaper) addition to the Magma Hotel (that’s where you check in). You don’t get the lake view, but it is a neat, tidy little unit that I’d happily stay in again. Great home base for sites like Seljalandfoss and Skogafoss (~1.0-1.5 hr drive) and Fjadrargljufur (15 min drive). Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast at Magma Hotel is an additional cost. I loved having a kitchenette and mini fridge/freezer, since I was traveling with groceries and an ice pack for a bum...

"A clean double room with a single bed, but it’s a bit rough around the edges (skirting boards). It’s fine for one night when arriving from the airport or before setting off again, but no more than that – with the noise of planes flying overhead regularly, your sleep is interrupted, so it’s not a very restful night. The big plus point is the breakfast, which is very varied and plentiful; the dedicated breakfast room is really nice."
