"The facilities were nice, and the staff were very helpful. It’s not the Guesthouse’s fault, but transportation from the airport and to anywhere around the area is limited and pricey. I guess that’s just the nature of things there. Otherwise, my needs were satisfied."

"Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff was super friendly. Great location. No fridge in room which would have been nice. Breakfast was great! "

"This place offers a nice breakfast buffet, yummy homemade ice cream (try the dandelion!) and a small gift shop. There are cows on site so you know your dairy products are fresh. The rooms are clean, modern (with hooks/outlets/bedside lamps for each bed) on a quiet property. This is a wonderful one night spot for your road trip around the island."

"An excellent guesthouse! We stayed here on the way back from Jokulsarlon. kirkjubæjarklaustur is only about 10min drive away, with lots of dining options. The room was spacious and clean. We had a room with a private bathroom, which was really convenient. The room stayed really warm, and we couldn't keep the window open wide enough to stay cool during the night... Breakfast was excellent! "

Wir hatten vorher angerufen, weil wir regulären Check-In zeitlich nicht halten konnten. War alles unproblematisch und lief reibungslos. Frühstück war prima, etwas rustikal, aber genau passend. "Even though the property is located in quite a remote area, it’s very well maintained and offers great value for the price. The cleanliness and upkeep really stood out. "The room was a good size, admittedly the set up in the en-suite was different. We had a lovely view and the bed was comfortable. We had a very enjoyable dinner in the restaurant, however the breakfast was a little basic (a plate with 2 slices of different bread, 2 slices of cheese, a hard boiled egg, a croissant, a boxed orange juice, a optional piece of ham, butter etc.), however there was unlimited coffee. "Stayed here for the 2nd night during our Iceland trip on the way back to Reykjavik. The code for self-check in was sent the day before. We were in the exact same room again. The room was clean, the shower room worked well, the kitchen was spacious and equipped with two sets of everything (sinks, ovens, stoves, microwaves, fridges, etc). "Simple guesthouse. You can meet other travelers here. There is a strange smell in the place. Also the check-in said I could check in between 12pm to 4pm. But when I got there, she said the room would be ready after 4pm. Small thing. They do try to sell you on buying the breakfast. "
