"Too expensive for what it really is"

"It is a quaint, antique hotel, right in the middle of Main Street. A wonderful town with so much to offer in addition to this beautiful hotel: O’Malleys, Pirtle’s Winery, Avalon Cafe, Weston Roastery, Hollady Distillery, Weston Tobacco, Beers to You, and so much more! The only thing I would recommend to the hotel is that they need to figure out their payment system for the bar area and the restaurant/cafe area: there seemed to be some confusion as to where to order a drink, who to pay, etc. It...

"I had a really nice stay there. The hotel is very nice and clean. The owners were super helpful. We had an air conditioner that was making a rattling noise and kept us up at night and the owner put in a new one for us. I was very impressed with that."

"The rooms are not cleaned, there’s no one in the front desk after certain hours. The breakfast area was closed during the 7 to 10 am hours. Those hours are the operating hours. There’s no fan in the bathroom to help with ventilation. There’s door lock to access the guess’s room does not work. Anyone can walk in to the guess’s room area. There was a housemaid that vacuums the hallways. When asked the room’s cleaning. She indicated that they only provide towels and do not clean the rooms. Worst...

"The property was very nice and welcoming. When we walked in, everything smelled clean and fresh with no odors throughout the hotel. Our room was comfortable, and the TV worked well, although I wish there were more local news channels available so guests could stay updated on what’s happening around Kansas City. "The staff were so friendly. My mom and I were on a road trip with two toddlers and a 6 year old. The lady at the front desk dropped off a pack and play with a cute little fitted sheet for us to use even though I had packed our own it was so thoughtful. The place was clean, well maintained, we felt safe and the bed was so comfortable! The shower and bath was spacious enough to fit all three littles in at once. "Was the worst experience for us first thing they gave us a room the was not clean smelling bad. They didn't clean, I said in the from desk., they changed us to other was same dirty, and had bugs in the bed. We can sleep for the itching. We paid for two nights, but we can't stay one more week left and we called for refund for one night. I still waiting for my refund."
