"We loved our stay at Kehena house! We were greeted by Stephen when we arrived and given a quick tour. They were hosting a Pride potluck that day and he kindly invited us to come eat and join in as guests of the house. Everyone we met was friendly and we felt safe to be ourselves. In the room, there was a list of unique weekly activities and opportunities near by, which made the experience feel even more welcoming.

We booked it to be closer to Volcanoes National Park, without realizing there was no road that cuts across. The large room, access to the full kitchen/common area, the quiet location surrounded by the rainforest, and the private deck allowed us to enjoy a relaxing visit. "It is hard to explain, but it is like a treehouse in the jungle. Beatiful flowers, bamboo, trees, ferns, and moss. Carlos was exceptional in answering questions and being feiendly! The beds are very comfortable and sheets were unbelievable. Everyrhing was an A+!"

"No frills bed and breakfast. This is the type of place that you book for serenity and for the quiet atmosphere which was perfect for our trip. It is worth noting that you need to make arrangements to get your access code ahead of time if you think you will have delays in your travel. However this process was easy to do. The property is close to volcano national park and also has an enjoyable rainforest environment as well. "
