"located at the top of a long & rather steep hill leading down to the centre of Bath. The hotel has a modern style which has been blended tastefully within a contemporary period building. Upon arrival, the hotel appeared clean & well presented, with a cosy bar area & an ample dining room. Our guest room was well appointed with ample room to relax. The en-suite bathroom was well appointed & spacious. Breakfast was very good with a choice of cooked breakfast from a generous menu, or a very adequate continental buffet with a generous choice of cereals, fruit, pastries & toasted bread. The property did offer paid onsite parking which, unfortunately was provided on a 1st come basis which is non reservable. We found the staff to be very friendly & obliging which made our stay pleasant & relaxing. We would gladly recommend this hotel & plan to stay here again in the future."

"I did not stay there and was unable to change or cancel reservation. I had no luck getting ahold of Expedia, the property staff were kind but could not help me change the date without Expedia?!? I lost all the money and tried am very frustrated! I use Expedia a lot and this was a terrible experience! I hope Expedia reaches out to me to correct this Sure the property was lovely but Expedia really dropped the ball and I paid the price for nothing : ( "

"Check-in was good, staff member was pleasant and the room was well presented. Unfortunately the room stank of cigarette smoke and we couldn't be moved to another room. Before I would stay here again I would insist that the room was a non-smoking room, it was truly unpleasant. Nice and simple continental breakfast in a lovely breakfast room with views over the river."
