"Great place on the Cornwall/Devon border, equidistant from the stuff you can do in the Southwest. The food they serve is great, as is the staff I interacted with. An EV charger in the same parking area is very helpful, as well. I was surprised that my single room didn't have a TV. The water pressure and heat when trying to shower were never consistent (but usually okay). While not a comment about this hotel, know that this area doesn't have much for stuff to do. "A good place to base yourself if you are planning to look around Cornwall. The Hotel is excellent all round. The "cell" was very clean, spacious and well appointed and the breakfasts were great. "The location was ideal, just a 5 minute walk to The Hoe, easy walk to The Lido and the Barbican, 20 minutes from the Train Station, the room I stayed in was small but adequate for what I needed, they no longer do Breakfast but there are a choice of places within a 10 minute walk, bed was comfy and a selection of teabags and coffee in the room, these aren’t always replaced daily but if you ask at reception they will give you some, would definitely stay again if I go back to Plymouth especially for the price."

"Everything about the hotel and staff was perfect. The only thing that we had issue with was the parking arrangements. Our Expedia booking included free parking, but apparently parking is only guaranteed when booking directly with the hotel. Expedia were not transparent about this. Hence, on the first night, we had to park on the street and pay £14.40 for five hours...waiting for an allocated hotel parking space on a first-come, first-served basis to become available."
