"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable with a beautiful view of Lake Ashi. The location is lovely albeit a bit more secluded/farther away, right by the lake, with Mount Fuji visible on clear days. The hotel feels a bit dated (think 70s charm) but is well maintained and slightly upscale. There’s a free shuttle to Odawara Station, but taxis must be booked in advance through the hotel. "This is a Premium high $$$ stay, you will feel very fancy here. The private Onsen is the best I have ever had the pleasure of using (it is 1000% worth the surcharge) The only issues I had with my stay were some inconsistencies with the online posting and the english room instructions they appeared a little out of date (for example they both listed a dinner that was not available for our stay)"

"Great room and a beautiful resort! The buffet breakfast and dinner get repetitive after the first day, so two nights in Hakone feels just right. The highlights were the yukata and the onsen—super relaxing. The public onsen, in particular, was fantastic!"

"A beautiful stay and wonderful onsen- we opted for a private onsen thankfully as we were never able to get into one of the three private public onsens on site over the course of two days. Note that the area is stunning and very hilly- local restaurants etc close very early and/or have odd days they are open if you venture out. "
