"Stayed several times at this wonderful hotel. Cost this stay was considerably higher than previously, which may merely be a reflection of price increases in the hotel industry generally. Still, something of a bitter pill.
Small issue - reservations made something of a point to get my accurate estimate of arrival time for the purpose of determining if an early check-in would be possible. I arrived following my transatlantic overnight flight when predicted, about two hours before 3 p.m....

"Hotel smells like fish. The restaurant is open and next to the reception area and the smell of fish permeates the hotel. Poor ventilation. The bathroom had no ventilation.
An emergency alarm went off one morning around 6:30 AM which essentially ruined our sleep and we lost a vacation day."
