"We stayed overnight for a concert Sunny on reception was so friendly and helpful. We had a late flight home the following day and were able to store our bags so we could head out into London for the day. Excellent value for money."

"Overall an okay stay, our room had a funny smell when we first went in, however we kept being disturbed by door banging in the corridors most of the night as they didn’t have soft closing door hinges on them and the rooms aren’t very sound proof, also not much choice food wise on the menu for anyone who is a fussy eater so had to walk out to find somewhere to eat, also found the hotel quite dark when you walk into reception and not overly appealing, in comparison to other hotels."

"3 of us booked single rooms for a stay while seeing Iron Maiden at Knebworth. Didn't want to drive from Sheffield and back the same day as the show. We had left it late to book rooms and this was the lowest priced place anywhere within an hour's drive of the gig. Evening meal was excellent, with lots of choices and drinks well priced (actually lower priced than our local pub). Breakfast also good quality and well priced. Staff very helpful. "Parking was a struggle, took £100 damage deposit (told me £50) and I’ve still not had it back 5 days later. Also had to pay for parking. Breakfast was good though and only £10 if your a member"

"Lovely Hotel with restaurant. Breakfast was very nice using good quality ingredients. I particulalry enjoyed the bacon. The restaurant was also very good for meals. Location was convenient for the centre of Stevenage. Staff were helpful and attentive."

"A super convenient traveller's hotel right next to the station and the DART, my room was very quiet. The hotel had everything I needed, it is great for if you have an early flight the next day. Getting there from London on the Thameslink was also easy."

"It’s a long time since we’ve stayed in a HI and nothing has changed. The weird bathroom door arrangement! We stayed on a very warm night and didn’t receive any cooling from the aircon so a very uncomfortable night was had. Bed also not made for taller folk. Breakfast reasonable and adequate. Staff all friendly and helpful."

The grounds and lovely and safe, so our kids could wander around and feel a bit more independent even though we could still see them. Lovely, quiet pool, and the kids loved the peacocks!"
