"Lovely guest house within walking distance of Lincoln centre. Warm, friendly welcome on arrival and a lovely selection of cakes to help yourself to. The pine room was spacious and very clean, couldn’t fault it at all, loved the mint humbugs in the room and lots of lovely little touches to it. Breakfast was amazing, a great selection of cereal, fruit, yoghurts, home made oat biscuits and a yoghurt, fruit and granola bowl. Cured meats and cheese were available too. "Room was clean and bed comfortable. Having the restaurant by the side with breakfasts was a plus before adventuring out. Fire alarm went off and we got up to discover it was a false alarm, it would have been nice for an employee to go around to tell occupants. It may have been impossible for them though as there are 92 rooms ? Front desk personnel always polite and informative except for the fire alarm!"

"Spent 8 nights in England. Poplars was my fave of the 5 places we stayed. That was due to staff. Though my train left before (free) breakfast, they left food for us the night before and provided fresh coffee in the morning. Meant a lot to us. Close to all points of interest but a bit of walk from train station. Cheap uber rides available. Great pick to be near Lincoln Castle."
