"Great place - rooms are great, comfy bed, welcome green and blacks chocolate. Staff are lovely at check in and the breakfast staff are fantastic, work hard and fast - really impressed. Only thing I don't like is the 'write on paper' check in part - especially every time you come back, would be nice to be digitally stored but in the greater scheme of things its nothing."

"The bedding looked okay. The rest of the room very tired . Whole building looked ready for a big renovation. Bedroom walls had stains , curtain had a big tear. But as I said bed looked okay. It’s a budget hotel and that’s what you get "

"We stayed at several hotels in England and this was one of our favorites. It didn’t have an elevator but the young man (I wish I knew his name) was SO helpful, carrying our bags upstairs for us, answering questions. We were able to keep our luggage there the day we checked out while we went downtown (and the young man carried them up to and from the third floor for us!). The food at the restaurant was good and the staff very friendly. It was close to the train station which was convenient."
