"The hotel is full of heritage, dating back to the mid 19th century. Both the building and its interior are fascinating, with relaxing colors that create a peaceful and stress-free atmosphere. We stayed for just one night during our long motorcycle trip, so unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to enjoy all the additional services the hotel has to offer. Our room was very spacious, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was amazing - exactly what we needed after several days on the road....

"At 300 Swiss Francs for a very basic room: no air conditioning, no dressing gowns, no slippers, no spare pillows, no toiletries except for the basics we were very disappointed. When we arrived after a long walk and were clearly very hot on a 32 degrees day in July we weren't even offered a welcome drink let alone a simple galss of tap water. It then transpired that if we wanted to use the swimming pool it would cost us an additional cost of 15 Swiss Franc for just one hour. This in Chexbres...

"We stayed Grand Hotel du Lac in May and enjoyed the best of Swiss hospitality. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, every member of the team made us feel genuinely welcome and cared for. The breakfast staff were wonderful, taking the time to describe the artisan breads and ensuring there was always a fresh platter of fruit available.
