"The rooms were spacious and clean. It would be better if the tv’s were smart tvs and could stream apps. The onsite restaurant was convenient and good. We had a 7 year old and the pullout bed was comfortable. Overall we’ll be back. Easy to get to Santa Cruz."

"The place is great for a getaway. It's close to so many different places to visit and eat. And if you don't want to go anywhere, the food and service at the View is amazing too. So many things to do right there."

"My family and I booked a stay at the Surestay Hotel by Best Western in Santa Cruz from July 2nd through 5th, but we checked out after just one night, on July 3rd, because the room was so disgusting we could not stay any longer. The bedsheets were visibly dirty, with hair and stains on them, and the curtains were stained as well. We also suspect bedbugs. My daughter developed a skin condition/dermatitis that we believe was caused by the filthy bedding. On top of that, we saw roaches in the room,...

"We had gone to Santa Cruz for the day and decided to spend the night and we chose this hotel last second and it was a great option. It came with. I believe free parking and breakfast included. Everything was amazing. No complaints. The parking seemed a little bit of an issue however it wasn’t the people there were so helpful. They guided us for the park and it kinda looks like it’s going to be unsafe area. However everything was amazing. Nothing intimidating of the location."

"We arrived late and unfortunately, were not given the balcony room we had reserved. The room we received had an unpleasant odor and was not as clean as expected. There was even feces on the bathroom wall, which was unacceptable. The walls were extremely thin, making it easy to hear conversations and noise from the surrounding rooms throughout our stay. Overall the cleanliness, condition of the room, and lack of soundproofing made for a disappointing experience. I would not choose to stay here...

"The staff were super friendly in the restaurant. The property and common areas were beautiful. Our room was a little smelly and could have used some attention. We would stay again though. It felt safe and convenient to walk downtown and the boardwalk."
