"Good hotel in great location. Lovely room with a en-suite shower. Room had all the amenities and plenty of towels. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was great too!"

"As the NCP next door is closed parking is at the nearby Highfield shopping centre (3rd floor). This is OK and parking is subsided by the hotel - be sure to validate your parking at check in. Walking to the hotel can be tricky, basically the hotel is on a large traffic island. When approaching from the shopping centre, take the pedestrian crossing that takes you to the NCP and keep to the right, taking the path around the car park past Addict Dance Studio."

"Room was dated, with leather peeling off the chair, no desk as advertised, no iron or ironing board available in rooms. There is an ironing room, the board leave marks all over your clothes. Had to fill in forms asking strange questions on check in. "

"My nephew and I had to relocate our hotel from the Premier at the last minute due to a change in the date of the Leicester City game, so we booked into the Bell Gate House. Having seen some reviews, we weren't expecting a great deal, just somewhere to sleep. However, despite the unassuming entrance in a perhaps slightly rundown area of town, we were very pleasantly surprised with this hotel. The room was very clean and smart, even included (a very slightly bashed) fridge, which we didn't use. We were told by the very friendly manager (owner?) that the beds and mattresses in our room were brand new - and they were the most comfortable beds we have slept on in a hotel for a long while. The only fault in our room was the hose to the shower was a bit leaky, but you are getting wet in the shower anyway so that didn't matter! And yes, the thread on the stair carpet wa a bit bare - but very clean. We knew that breakfast wasn't included. For the price, this is the best value hotel in Leicester!"
