"Lovely room with everything you need. Pub was great for dinner and the breakfast was excellent (Great choice of cooked options and good selection of cereals, juices, yoghurts, croissants etc). All the staff I came into contact with were wonderful, friendly and very helpful. Will be staying again next time I am down in the area."

"It’s not like staying at a Premier Inn or Travelodge but does the job. Could do with some updating and don’t expect an early breakfast as it starts at 9am. You get what you pay for to be honest and the bed was comfy, loo, shower there so just what you need essentially. Wi-Fi just didn’t work in my room which I’m guessing was because I was at the top so a boaster would help. Replenishing of tea and coffee, biscuits etc in the room would be great. "This hotel met all my requirements for a basic overnight stay and was the best price I could find locally by a distance. I would definitely book again. "

"Nice bar and restaurant area - near to Folkestone and exit to channel tunnel so all good - local garages, Tesco’s M&S garage shop McD’ all in close Proximity. Rooms are clean and basic but with just what you need. Great to have food available on site plus the free Breakfast is perfect to set you on your way. Staff are willing to help with any needs - that are possible. Only gripe would be having to pay for car parking. So ideal place to stay if need to be near Folkestone and the Channel...

"Staff were very welcoming and very polite. Our room was very good and very clean. Only complaint was with the air conditioning which we did not have on, but it still made a noise in the early hours which woke me up. Only other minor issue was the inability on Thursday evening to get a meal in the Martello Bar which was crowded with men attending a function."

"When we arrived, there was a mixup with the booking but they handled it really well. They gave us a room that we hadn’t booked which was fantastic. We then moved the next day into another lovely room. They bent over backwards and they couldn’t do enough for us it made my stay and my partners stay whose birthday it was on the Monday an absolutely fantastic time and may I just say thanks to Sam and the team for looking after us and making us so welcome. "Turned up and got confronted by a member of staff in the car park who proceeded to tell us that there were only 3 staff working that day, and she had to clean all the rooms alone and everything was currently a mess so could we come back later to check in. The outside looked very tired and in need of maintenance so we cut our losses and decided to go and find somewhere else to stay!"

"First, the hotel is under renovation without mentioning on the site. We carried to heavy suitcases up two landings only to find the doors locked. Found the side door to get into the hotel. At night the temperature in the room was 85F and we were supplied a very small fan to compensate. Two warm bottles of water in the room and staff were unable to exchange for bottles in there fridge. There wasn’t a fridge to cool them. The two windows only opened about four inches which did nothing to cool...

"This hotel went beyond our expectations. On arrival met by friendly helpful staff. Our room was beautiful, comfortable and on ground floor as requested. The gardens are amazing. Dinner in restaurant was very enjoyable. There is ample free parking at the hotel and also has a spa (extra charge) attached. Im not sure how far the nearest station was as we were there by car which enabled us to visit various places. Every member of staff were helpul and friendly. I wouldnt hesitate to revisit this...
