"Very nice property. The home is very clean and rather spacious. Very close to nearby public transport which makes it very easy to get around. Location is rather walkable as well to other restaurants and coffee shops. Enjoyable more immersive experience to the neighborhood. There's a great little coffee house literally seconds away. Lovely amenities in the home. Personally loved the shower and large bathtub. The beds were good, but were very loud and creeky even with subtle movements. Since there...

"An amazing house with great volume, vaulted ceilings, 4 bedrooms and a private onsen bath.
The house was beautiful, perfectly located near all the exciting restaurants and sights around Hakone. A perfect place to spend a few days and I wish we had more time to truly enjoy it fully.
Lots of windows, a beautiful garden, gorgeous interior with wood paneling everywhere and some rooms with traditional tatami mats.
Highly recommend !"

"This place has a lot of character and was a great experience. We didn’t book the Irori dinner, which I regretted very much. It’s a hostel, not a hotel, so as expected it was a bit spartan. However, the main sitting area was lovely and interesting and the staff were top notch - warm and accommodating. If you are looking for character and tradition over modern comforts, you will enjoy your stay very much. It’s also just a short walk to Gora station where you can hop on the cable car and ropeway as...

"We were an extended family of seven. We had half board included. The experience of staying in a ryokan was wonderful. The breakfast and dinner served to us in our larger room was both generous in portions and delicious to taste. The children were given partial portions of the Japanese menu which they enjoyed.
The service from all staff was gracious and friendly.
The onsens were so beautifully located outside but were quite hot! We couldn’t fault our stay. What was wonderful for us was the...
