"Really lovely room in a picturesque village. I parked right outside, but there's loads of parking of an evening."

"We stayed 2 nights in a suite. The room was delightful and we slept very well. Dinner both nights was outstanding and we wished we could have stayed longer to try out more of the menu ! Breakfast was freshly cooked each morning and also delicious. Would definitely return. "

"An excellent option for a quick overnighter while travelling up or down the country. Room was clean and beds comfortable. The bar / restaurant area looked perfectly clean and tidy, although we didn't use it. It is next door to themsim sevices building with multiple eating / snack purchaing ptions too. The services also has electric fast charge points a short walk from reception. Staff that we saw were warm and friendly. "

"It was very exciting staying in a castle. We had the family room which was very quaintly laid out with a single bed in its own part of the small turret, through a stone arch. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was served in a box in our room with loads of choice, and fresh produce in a mini fridge which was lovely. The area is stunning. "Room was nice, spacious and exceptionally clean. But the food was poor, avoid the Market kitchen. Brasserie 34 was the nicest. If you have mobility issues the hotel is massive and there is no assistance getting from the car park to reception with your luggage "

"An absolutely beautiful authentic old inn. 10/10 on character. We had our dinner in the pub below and the food was amazing. We can't say enough good comments about this inn. "

"Mixed reviews overall, my room was generally pretty clean however, I found a hair in the bathroom that definitely wasn't mine as it was about 6 inches long onnthe tiles of the shower, the window didnt stay open without wedging something underneath it, decor was tired and the TV was no bigger than a PC monitor and looked lost on the wall and wasnt vaguely visible from the bed and everytime the fridge in the room clicked on and off it turned the TV off and on again (annoying to say the least). "Had a lovely overnight stay. Staff were really friendly and exceptionally helpful. A really beautiful old building. Buffet breakfast was good. Had a very pleasant evening meal there too. Grounds were delightful. Stayed in one of their suites. Really spacious. "

"Good points: Staff were friendly, accommodation was clean and tidy and food provision and bar was satisfactory. Poor points: The room was pretty sparse and lacking any warmth or character as were the rest of the facilities. We didn’t try the Spa or Golf, so can’t comment on this. gym, sauna, hot tub type facilities (which I would be happy to pay for) are pretty standard in most ‘Spa’ hotels so I felt a bit cheated.
