"Staff was not too helpful, when we got room service they gave us towels with stains on them and we were also never told that it was a $50 deposit each night until we checked in"

"I never stayed at property. Expedia took money prior for a “pay st checkin” - I canceled the reservation. Property never received the funds. Multiple attempts with Expedia cannot get refund of $475.+. Expedia is perpetrating fraud. I will pursue and report to every social media what a scam Expedia is. I will never use them again!"

"The hotel itself is a fine place to "rest your head" as another guest had stated. The hotel is of average cleanliness you'd expect. The front desk was one staff member, who was also responsible for all phone calls and running the hotel bar as well. "Easy to access hotel. Plenty of parking. Older hotel so you’re going to see signs of it. I had to wait a few minutes for someone to arrive at the front desk to check in. Our door would not close properly so we had to push/pull it hard to open and close it. You could tell when we were coming and going because it made a lot of noise. "I stayed for few days with my dad. It was a good stay overall. The staff were very friendly and we were getting cleaned towels almost everyday. However, one receptionist at night tried to sell me a toothbrush for some cash even though they are given complementarily. My dad went next morning and the lady who was very helpful from the beginning with our room change gave us the complementary toothbrush. Breakfast was fine, area was quite, and not too far away from downtown Charleston."
