"We really enjoyed our stay. The staff in particular were so helpful especially because they located my husband’s wallet he had misplaced. Locals often could be found in the bar/dining area. The only issue was related to having rooms that were dated. We had a disabled room and were concerned that there were no electric power points next to the bed. To recharge mobiles etc was difficult. We would return if we had the opportunity."

"Everything was lovely, especially the staff! In the middle of a heatwave, AC would have been nice but that’s Mother Natures fault. Food was excellent, parking was easy and the surroundings were beautiful! I definitely recommend for a taste of old world charm."

"My room was up a flight of not very well light stairs causing me to miss the last step it was above the bar and entertainment room, live music started 9PM and finished 11PM fine until more music started, at 11.50PM I rang down to see how long it will last, I was told 10mins, never happened, I rang at 1.10AM to ask again, someone hung up on me then finally it stopped. "Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. Parking can be a problem but usually can park in town square (which you need to pay for, either in cash/card or by downloading the local app). Place fairly clean, tables for breakfast...

"Een mooie locatie in een historisch pand. Maar kamers zijn modern en comfortabel ingericht. Ruime kamer, voldoende ruimte voor bagage. Nette schone badkamer. Heerlijk a la carte ontbijt. Diner was ook heerlijk. Geen doorsnee pubfood, maar een mooie menukaart. Gezellig dorpsterras buiten. Kamer heeft geen airco, als het erg warm is kan dit een punt van aandacht zijn."

"Fantastic stay between Bath & Stonehenge. Surrounding towns provide tonnes of history, monuments and pleasant hills. Great carpark and good showers. It was an unusual hot night and the room had a fan!!! Great staff, I recommend."
